Sleepover in Central Baptist Church basement. Event is open to Scouts of First Class rank and higher, or in 8th grade+ (regardless of rank). The event will include a variety of leadership and team-building activities capped off with pizza/movie night.

The Troop will meet at Lawn School at 7:00am and return at 5pm.  Scouts should dress warmly (we will be outside all day) and bring a lunch.

Cost - $20/scout

WHAT - Klondike Derby is a winter sled-based Scouting event where Troops travel with a sled full of supplies to various activity stations and compete against other Troops for prizes.

WHERE - Camp Yawgoog

Check-in:  Sandy Beach Parking Lot.  Parking is available at the Sandy Beach parking lot or the Boden lot.


Check in- 7 to 8 am, Stations from 8:30 to 12, Lunch from 12-1, Stations from 1-3, Sled Race 3-4, closing ceremony 4.

WHY - To have fun and demonstrate your Scouting skills in friendly competition!

Troop will meet at Lawn School at 8:30am.  Transportation provided to/from Rock Spot Climbing in Peace Dale, RI.  Return to Lawn at around noon.


No climbing experience necessary.  Wear comfortable athletic clothing.

Troop will meet at Lawn at 10am on Saturday.  Transportation to Camp Aquapaug in W Kingston will be provided.

Scouts will hike the Aquapaug perimeter trail (~5mi) upon arrival with lunch prepared/served by scouts on the trail.   All scouts should bring a day pack to carry a water bottle, extra layers, compass, etc.

Dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday will also be provided.  Cost per Scout for food will be announced by designated cooks (usually ~$15-20).

Scouts will return to Lawn (or be dropped at home after coordination) on Sunday morning around 11 am.
