Calendar

Scouts will meet at Lawn School at 7:00am.  Each scout should bring camping gear, day pack/water bottles, a bike and a helmet.  This will be a backpacking-style campout—no troop trailer.

Troop will drive to Pt Judith to catch the Ferry to Block Island for camping and bike touring of the island, returning Sunday afternoon. 

Cost $35/scout for ferry ticket.

Troop will meet at Lawn School at 9am and return to Lawn at around 4pm.  Scouts should bring a water bottle and pack a lunch in a waterproof container.  Shoes will get wet/muddy so plan accordingly.

We will be canoeing the Upper Wood River from Ten Rod road to the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Association public dock.  We will stop for lunch on a small island in the river--be sure to bring your own lunch.

Troop will meet in front of Lawn School at 9:30 in Class A uniform.  We will march in the parade, stopping for a brief ceremony in the town cemetery and ending at East Ferry where Memorial Day speaker and ceremony will be held.  Scouts will assist taking down American Flags at East Ferry immediately following the ceremony.  

Parents should pick Scouts up at East Ferry at 11:30am.

The Troop will meet at Lawn School at 7am Saturday. Transportation will be provided to Camp Wanocksett in Dublin, NH (~2.5 hour drive). We will hike to the summit of Mt Monadnock Saturday so scouts should bring a day pack and water bottles (at least 2 liters--it's a strenuous hike). 

Lunch and dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday will be provided by the Troop.  The grubmaster will collect money (approximately $15 per Scout) for food.

We will return to Jamestown at ~1pm on Sunday Jun 8.
